Tenovus Cancer Care Annual Ball
The Tenovus Cancer care annual ball took place on Friday 4th March and raised over £41,000 for cancer patients and their families here in Wales. This year the theme was ‘Dahlicious’ to celebrate the 100 th Birthday of Roald Dahl. The Diamond Centre kindly donated a £500 voucher, which was the top prize in a fun and exciting game involving balloons. Each table captain was taken out of the main room and return wearing a cape of balloons (based on the story Charlie and the Chocolate Factory where one of the winning ticket holders turns into a blueberry). The captain then invited each table guest to burst a balloon and inside one was the star prize. The game went down a storm and had everyone popping! The game raised a whopping £2,000 which is fantastic.
Sara Couch Corporate Fundraising Manager ‘The evening was a huge success and we are so grateful of generous donations and support from the Diamond Centre of Wales. It is because of these donations we were able to put on a fabulous event full of fun and surprises such as the blueberry balloon popping game’.
